Dr. Tella is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques to address musculoskeletal problems, particularly sports-related injuries. He has particular interest and expertise in shoulder and knee arthroscopy and reconstruction.
Education & Training
After earning his medical degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Tella went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. He then undertook advanced fellowship training in sports medicine, the management of athletic-related injuries, and arthroscopic surgery at Stanford University, where he served as a team physician for the San Francisco 49ers and Stanford Athletics.

Dr. Tella grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and loves to spend his free time outdoors. He especially enjoys biking, hiking and playing tennis.
